Reflection Essay

FINAL EXAM REFLECTION ESSAY

Creative Writing has been one of my favorite classes I have learned so much about so many different things. I have also learned a lot about myself as a writer. This year in creative writing started out exciting and it was something new; it was a new style of writing that I was not used to writing in. I was used to writing in a type that was very informational and gave facts. So when I came into creative writing it was nothing that I had expected at all.
In creative writing I learned how to express myself in a different way. I learned to write what I wanted to write and not just what I had to write, I found out very quickly that writing did not have to be something that was awful, it could something that was very useful it is a way to express myself that was very different from the other types of writing that I am used to.
One thing that really helped me with my writing was writing in our blogs. Writing in the blogs really helped me because I was not given something to write I had to come up with my own ideas to write about, and after a while it came natural and I was able to write about what I was feeling. Whether I am sad, happy, excited, or mad I am able to express myself in a different way, rather than just keeping it all inside, I am able to write about it and express it in a different kind of way.
One writing assignment that I really liked was writing the memoir. I liked writing this because it was something different, and I had to write about myself and one of my own memories of the past, this really helped me because I was writing about myself and the more that I wrote about that single memory the more I was able to recall about what had happened.
I also really liked writing the poems. I thought that the poems were really fun to write and it was something different and new and something that I have never done in an English class before. Writing the poems really helped me use my own ideas, and come up with words and different sayings to put into the poems that I wrote. I think that writing the poems was one of my favorite things that we did this year, just because it is a different style of writing and not something that you would do every day.
Our very last project was the video project which was a really fun project to do because no only did we get to write our own scripts, but we got to film what we wrote after we finished writing our scripts. I thought that this was really cool because it was a new way to be creative and it another thing that we would not have done in a regular English class. I think that the video project was also one of my favorite projects that we did this year in Creative Writing class.
I think that overall Creative Writing class was an excellent class to take. It really helped me with my writing because it was a style of writing that I was not used to writing. I really think that creative Writing should be a class that everyone should consider taking, and I think that by taking this class it is going to help me a lot next year in college and in the future.

Summer

I'm so excited for summer vacation. This will be the first summer since I was four that I won't be at the gym practicing new skills. It's kind of sad, but yet exciting. I will still be at the gym, but not as a gymnast but as a pre-school coach. I'm very excited to give the love of the sport back to the little girls just beginning. This is a whole new beginning, and one I'm looking forward to.

Memorial Day

Every Memorial Day weekend we go to my grandpa's house. This is the time of year we decorate my grandmothers grave. The first couple of years after she died were very hard, but as the years have passed it has gotten easier. My grandpa gets lots of pretty flowers and we take them out to the cemetery. I wish she was still here to see me graduate, but I know she is watching me from heaven.

Fishing

I have a new hobby, it's fishing. I have learned how to cast and reel it back in. I haven't caught anything big, but I have caught a small sun fish. It was so exciting, it made me want to fish again. Over the weekend I went up north and went fishing, there were some big fish on the lake, I didn't catch anything, but I think it was because it was so cold and I was shivering so hard. The next time it's warm I'm going to try again.

American Idol

The end is near and the final two are Blake (my favorite) and Jordan. This was the final I was hoping for. Blake brings something entirely different to the final and Jordan is young and definitely the American Idol type. I think that whoever wins will be successful, although I really hope that Blake wins. Last week when Melinda got sent home wasn't all that surprising. She is a good singer, but we have had no big shockers this season so I was kind of suspecting that she would go. I'm so excited for Tuesday and Wednesday night!!!!

Senior Skip Day!

On Senior skip day me and Kara went to see Shrek the third, it was pretty good but I think I still like the first one the best. I thought the movie was really cute, and at the end of the movie Shrek had babies and they were so cute, I also like the flying donkey babies, they were cute also. after the movie me and Kara went to applebees for lunch which was nice because I love applebees in the end I had a really good Senior Skip Day!

I Can't Wait

It is almost the end of the year and I can not wait till it is done there is so much to do and so little time to do everything that needs to be done. With finals coming up and all of the end of the year activities I am really starting to feel stressed out. I have also missed so much school because my aunt was in the hospitla and it is just really hard to stay in school right now, I just can't wait to be done it is so close and I can taste it yet, it still feels so far away.
